WELCOME TO THE 2010 OVERGAARD PHUKET 10’s!

WE ARE PROUD TO BE SPONSORING THIS GREAT RUGBY EVENT FOR THE THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR.

IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS WE HAVE BEEN ACTIVELY INVOLVED WITH RUGBY IN THE ASIAN REGION. WE ARE NOW MAIN SPONSORS OF THE PHILIPPINE NATIONAL RUGBY TEAM, WHO WERE RECENTLY PROMOTED TO THE ASIA 5 NATIONS SECOND TIER. WE WERE ALSO THE MAIN SPONSOR FOR THE 2010 CEBU 10’s WHICH IS A GROWING TOURNAMENT.

WE WILL ENDEAVOR TO CONTINUE WITH OUR SUPPORT OF THESE EVENTS AND the WORTHWHILE CAUSES THEY REPRESENT.

OUR WHOLE COMPANY ENJOYS THE CAMARADARY OF THIS EVENT AND THE FRIENDSHIPS THAT ARE FORGED OVER THE WEEKEND AND BEYOND.

  • Its with great pleasure that we welcome Overgaard Company Ltd from Hong Kong as the principle sponsors for the third year running.
  • As you all know the stadium this year has been changed back to Karon stadium after the renovations have been completed. This is by the beach in Karon
  • Once again Shires Pies will ensure that the cholesterol levels remain high with their selection of delicious pies.
  • Spikee Sports will again be providing rugby merchandise at the ground and any teams requiring quality gear at good prices contact Khun Bim at www.spikeesport.com
  • Phuket International Hospital will again be providing medical coverage during the weekend but we suggest that players get insurance coverage before arriving.
  • Once again we are raising money for the Asia Center Foundation & they will be bringing many of the sponsored kids down to the stadium over the weekend to meet their sponsors. If you sponsor a kid and would like to meet up with them contact Roelien Muller at roemuthai@gmail.com.
  • After our success in  promoting youth rugby on the island we have arranged another game for the Phuket Lomas under 14's to play a game against BIS U 14's as a curtain raiser to the finals on Sunday afternoon.
  • The groups and schedule will be sent out to team captains shortly. We have had a couple of cancellations in the vets comp so we are looking for 2 more teams to round the event up to 16 teams. We require team write ups & bios urgently if you want to appear in the program.
  • The referees are once again being marshaled by David Viccars so if there are any queries about rules etc contact David
  • We will once again be holding the annual Tour Virgin Beauty Pageant on the Saturday evening so get them virgins dolled up, made up and ready to strut their stuff on the cat walk. A full list of social events will be sent out with the draw for the groups.
